Advanced Differentiation in Literacy

Advanced learners and students who show readiness for advanced differentiation in literacy receive this instruction during the small group instruction portion of readers' workshop. The Advanced Differentiation units created by MPS' Talent Development and Advanced Learning department are built to extend the literacy standards of the core instruction. Many of these units challenge students to think with depth and complexity, practice the intellectual traits, practice close reading skills, and participate in Socratic Seminar. Some of the units extend into research and project based learning.

Each grade level tab has more details about the focus and learning targets that each group is working on during their literacy time.
